MEMBERSHIP OF BNAEOPC

     BNAEOPC is an associate member of the European Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (COLIPA) and a full member of Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CRIB), Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BIS).
          BNAEOPC has established intensive contacts with similar branch organizations in Germany /IKW/, Italy /UNIPRO/, Russia /RPCA/, and with international organizations such as IFSCC and IFEAT.
          BNAEOPC works together with the experts from Bulgarian Government, Ministry of Economy and Energy, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria.

ESTABLISHMENT

Bulgarian National Association Essential oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics /BNAEOPC/ was founded in 1999. 75 of all companies in the branch are members of BNAEOPC. They are producers and traders of essential oils, perfumery and cosmetics as well as companies connected with this branch

MAIN DUTIES OF BNAEOPC

BNAEOPC has the following main duties:

• To protect the interests of its members
• To help its members to raise their competitiveness;
• To observe the process of harmonization of the Bulgarian legislation with the EU Directives and to prepare its members for implementation of the new requirements;
• To train and thus raise the qualification of the experts in the branch
• To work actively with Bulgarian Government and public administration.

All these efforts are investments with importance equal to the technical and technological investments in the companies. Thanks to the hard work and the high qualification of its staff BNAEOPC has achieved good results and has become a reliable partner of its members.

PUBLICATIONS

Publications of the association enjoy a great variety:

• EU Directives concerning the branch.
• EU Manuals.
• since 2000 BNAEOPC is publishing a Branch Bulletin “Essential oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics” which contains information about BNAEOPC’s activity or articles concerning the changes in legislation, marketing and scientific information
• Branch standards.

From 2000 to 2006 BNAEOPC has published more than 20 kinds of editions.

TRAINING COURSES

The Training programs of BNAEOPC are complied with the requirements of the Bulgarian legislation and the European standards concerning Essential oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics branch. From 2000 to 2006 the association has organized 22 training courses each having more than 60 participants. The lecturers are always highly qualified experts from Bulgarian administration or chosen with the help of international organizations and branch associations from EU member-countries.

The main trends in the Training program are connected with:

• New requirements of the national and European legislation concerning the production of essential oils and cosmetic products.
• Good Manufacturing Practice for cosmetics (Cosmetic GMP). Internal audit in cosmetic companies.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for essential oil industry; Good Agriculture Practice (GAP); Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH); Organic Agriculture.
• Worldwide trends concerning the raw materials for perfumery and cosmetics

INERNATIONAL ACCTIVITIES

BNAEOPC enjoys a very intensive international activity:

• Organizes participations of Bulgarian producers of cosmetics and essential oils, both at national and international exhibitions such as International Fair in Plovdiv, Intercharm Professional Moscow, Beauty World Middle East Gulf Beauty Dubai, Cosmoprof -Bologna, In Cosmetics Barcelona, CHI (Cosmetic and Household Ingredients), Beauty Eurasia-Istanbul etc.
• Applies for projects of international programs such as GTZ, PHARE, SES, CIM, NMCP, etc.
• Applies for projects of Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Energy, Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, German Bureau for technical support (GTZ);

STRATEGICAL AIMS

• Technical and technological renovation of the cosmetic companies and producers of essential oils;
• Raising the qualification of the experts in the branch according to the requirements of the European and international standards;
• EU registration of Bulgarian rose oil;
• Optimizing the information activity of BNAEOPC: maintaining of Internet site of BNAEOPC and Internet Portal of the branch, publication of all documents of ECconcerning the branch, creating a newsletter of the branch.
